lekin kai bar aisa hota h ki hame apane number ke sath kuch format lagana hota hai jaise hame apane number ke sath apane rupees or currency ka symbol likhana hota h

uske liye hum number formate ka use karte hai

To chalo start karte hai

sabse pahle hum apane cell ko select karte h jaha hame currency symbol use karna hai uske bad hum home menu me number formate me jate h

usme jab hum dekhete h to hame ek jagah per general likha hota h waha per right side me ek chota sa down arrow ka nishan hota h usper click karte h aur apane according formate choose kr lete hai

Isme hame 2 option milta h currency symbol lagane ke liye

Format a worksheet

How?

Apply cell borders

  1. Select the cell or range of cells that you want to add a border to.
  2. Tip To quickly select the whole worksheet, click the Select All button.
  3. On the Home tab, in the Font group, click the arrow next to Borders , and then click the border style that you want
  4. Tip The Borders button displays the most recently used border style. You can click the Borders button (not the arrow) to apply that style.

Change text color and alignment

  1. Select the cell or range of cells that contain (or will contain) the text that you want to format. You can also select one or more portions of the text within a cell and apply different text colors to those sections.
  2. To change the color of text in the selected cells, on the Home tab, in the Font group, click the arrow next to Font Color, and then under Theme Colors or Standard Colors, click the color that you want to use.
  3. Note To apply a color other than the available theme colors and standard colors, click More Colors, and then define the color that you want to use on the Standard tab or Custom tab of the Colors dialog box.
  4. To change the alignment of the text in the selected cells, on the Home tab, in the Alignment group, click the alignment option that you want.

  1. Select the cell or range of cells that you want to apply cell shading to.
  2. On the Home tab, in the Font group, click the arrow next to Fill Color , and then under Theme Colors or Standard Colors, click the color that you want

Adjust settings

  1. To wrap text in a cell, select the cells that you want to format, and then on the Home tab, in the Alignment group, click Wrap Text.
  2. To adjust column width and row height to automatically fit the contents of a cell, select the columns or rows that you want to change, and then on the Home tab, in the Cells group, click Format.
  3. Under Cell Size, click Auto-fit Column Width or Auto-fit Row Height.
  4. Tip To quickly auto-fit all columns or rows in the worksheet, click the Select All button, and then double-click any boundary between two column or row headings

Format the data

  1. To apply number formatting, click the cell that contains the numbers that you want to format, and then on the Home tab, in the Number group, click the arrow next to General, and then click the format that you want.
  2. To change the font, select the cells that contain the data that you want to format, and then on the Home tab, in the Font group, click the format that you want.


Enter data

Enter data in a worksheet

To work with data on a worksheet, you first have to enter that data in the cells on the worksheet. Then, you might want to adjust the data so that it is visible, and display it just the way that you want.

Enter the data

  • Click a cell, and then type data in that cell.
  • Press ENTER or TAB to move to the next cell.
  • Tip To enter data on a new line in a cell, enter a line break by pressing ALT+ENTER.
  • To enter a series of data, such as days, months, or progressive numbers, type the starting value in a cell, and then in the next cell type a value to establish a pattern.
  • For example, if you want the series 1, 2, 3, 4, 5..., type 1 and 2 in the first two cells.
    Select the cells that contain the starting values, and then drag the fill handle (fill handle: The small black square in the lower-right corner of the selection. When you point to the fill handle, the pointer changes to a black cross.) across the range that you want to fill.
    Tip To fill in increasing order, drag down or to the right. To fill in decreasing order, drag up or to the left.

Create a new file

When you create a new workbook, you can use a blank workbook template, or you can base your workbook on an existing template that already provides some data, layout, and formatting that you want to use.

How?

Click the File tab.

This will open the Microsoft Office Backstage view, which temporarily hides the worksheet.

Click New.

Under Available Templates, click the workbook template that you want to use.

Tips

  • For a new, blank workbook, double-click Blank Workbook.
  • For a workbook that is based on an existing workbook, click New from existing, browse to the location of the workbook you want to use, and then click Create New.
